Unable to clear the generator room of the ants at Nellis.

I am looking for ants, can't find any. Finally after 5 minutes of searching I find one. I kill it, then everything turns white and I blow up. It happens everytime.

pretty sure you cant use guns, explosives, or energy weapons on them as they are full of gunpowder from eating the shells use a melee weapon

Get the sonic emitter from Loyal, place it on the mound and activate it. It should kill the ants immediately.

There are 2 ants if you go in the South door. If you enter through the West door, there are 3 ants in the corridor. There is one more, (sometimes), near the ant mound.

Using Loyal's emitter is the easiest way.

Normal weapons can be used, but explosives and laser weaponry will cause the ants to blow up. And hitting the artillery shells will cause one hell of an explosion.

ah it's been awhile since i have done that quest so i though firearms were included

weapons from Honest hearts cause the ants to blow up.

yeah was going to say pretty sure they blow up when you shoot them with guns, but most of the guns I would use would be from Honest hearts. and I do recall them not blowing up sometimes when I shot them.

they do alot of damage when they explode. dont be near them.
