Choosing Your Courier's Name

How do you choose your Courier's name? Do you give him or her a last name?

You can, it doesnt matter. Your name never pops up besides on Saves and in your Stats menu.

actually when you get asked to steal Mr. House's data you can pass a speech check and it will say something along the lines of "Dr. (insert your name) diagnoses this conversation with a severe lack of caps" oh boy, do i love ignoring this and shooting them instead.

I usually just use first names unless I'm basing my pc off a character that only has a title for a name. Your player name usually pops up every now and then in dialogue via text and the sentences they're in are structured in such a way that makes it sound weird if it has a last name

Can you give an example of when it's weird in dialogue when your character has a last name?

I play it because it's a fun game lol.

It's hard to explain, but I just don't really grasp the concept of forgetting that I'm sitting at a keyboard and monitor playing a game.

I have a really hard time playing games that really *need* immersion like Hellblade: Sennua's Sacrifice for that reason.

I've never had something transcend the "pretty images on a screen that I manipulate in real time" part of playing games.

Note, I'm not saying there is something wrong or weird about immersion and RP, just that I don't *GET* it personally.

I'm the same way. There is too much going on in a game world that tells my brain that none of this is real, so I'm unable to fully commit to the character I'm playing.

i named him ezra because i think thats a cool name

i was also going to name him elijah but i found out there was already a character named elijah in the game :( ezra is cool tho :)

Like, i name all female courier's a series and anime protagonist.

Male courier's names normally are just two words like DD or FF

I use the same name in all RPG's - Onjo Queeg
My Fallout NV character is Onjo Queeg III
Onjo was a first name produced by the random name generator in Star Wars KOTOR2 & Queeg is the computer that takes over from Holly in Red Dwarf
