Eternally Hostile Nightkin?

So on my recent file I tried to complete Black Mountain with as few Nightkin+Super Mutant deaths as possible.

Character I was running was nowhere near equipped to fix Rhonda, so I glitched through the back fence (via activating the first-floor door and then leaving) and killed Tabitha. However, all of the Black Mountain mutants are still hostile. It's been multiple in-game days, I've slept, I've waited, I've manually run up to Neil's Shack from Sloan, I've manually waited via faffing around baiting out Deathclaws one at a time. Yet every mutant past Neil's Shack is still red to me.

I don't know if a companion took a potshot between me getting in, killing Tabitha and escaping and that's the problem, if it's a bug, or what.

Neil had a convo and now doesn't even enter the dialogue tree anymore, just says it's good to see me. I can't even get Raul out bc all of the Nightkin are ready to shred me on sight. Sincerely considering dismissing companions and sneaking in via Stealth Boy but I was really hoping this would just resolve itself. Anyone have any clues?

I've even reached Jacobstown and gotten the map marker + initial Marcus convo at this point, so if that doesn't resolve it I don't know what will.

Unless you fix Ronda for the peaceful option with Tabitha the mutants on black mountain will remain hostile forever.

Wait you could actually make those nightkin friendly? I didn't know that. They just attacked me on sight.

They attack on sight but if you make it up to the mountain and repair Rhonda without meeting Tabitha they'll be neutral to you.

What is Rhonda? I haven't played any quests since over a year ago. I'm currently only messing around in a quasi post-story playthrough.

Its a Mr Handy (and essentially Tabithas support animal) in the storage room on top of black mountain. It was Tabitha's traveling companion before it broke.
Then Tabitha like most Nightkin started developing her split personality and it took the persona of Rhonda.

Tabitha then took over Black Mountain from Marcus and started the Utobitha. She began hosting Black Mountain Radio staring her and Rhonda which is who you hear her switching between on her talk show segments.

You can fix Rhonda to make her happy and even get an ending card for her but the initial skill check is Science 60 so I was not able to do it this time around.
