Ways of making Caps please!
Hello,

I have rinsed the casinos already but on Very Hard you go through a lot of items and i am losing caps each time i face off against bullet sponges.

Also i'm not very good at Caravan.

Thanks.

Do dead money, you can leave that with like 25,000 pre war money, and if you wanted, 37 gold bars worth like 12k each.

I am level 14, should i risk doing it now?

Just don't play on very hard. it's pointless and does nothing to benefit you, it only objectively wastes your time.
Just play on normal with Hardcore, that at least does something. Very Hard is silly.

You already understand the mechanics of the game, it doesn't matter the difficulty. Getting caps on very hard is done by doing the same things as on normal.

No, as the recommended level is like 20. Even then it's challenging. It's also unecessary for getting caps.

Like Fallout 3 i have put it on very hard because i end up completing the game too quick and too easy.

https://youtu.be/gsecAmej0ps Caravan is easy to play, the in-game explanation is horrible. Also its useful to obtain the achievements

Try the Jsawyer (ultimate) mod, it makes the game more difficult without bullet sponge enemies. Also try using different ammo types

Pick up guns off of enemy corpses and sell them to Chet in Goodsprings, the Gun Runners next to Freeside, Trish or whatever her name is at the Mojave Outpost, Etc...

The best way to not run out of ammo I have found is to have a backup melee weapon regardless of build. put points into melee weapons. Also, remember to pick up companions, as they're don't use up their ammo on their default weapons. Other than gambling, one of the easiest ways to make money IMO is to get the Jury Rigging perk (requires 90 repair), then repair expensive equipment with cheap equipment. TL;DR: melee weapons, companions, take jury rigging perk.

You should be fine if you built your character properly. I exclusively use the JSawyer Ultimate mod which makes the game significantly harder and rebalanced and had no issues with dead money on my most recent character at level 16.

Also, my character doesn't gamble, so no casino's, and I've amassed a total of around 52,000 caps with said JSawyer mod which also significantly rebalances/reworks the in-game economy.

The game is a breeze no matter what you do or what mods you use (for the most part) as long as you build your character properly and stick to 5-7 skills instead of trying to max out all 13. You should have no problems doing dead money or getting in game currency.
