Why is the Tri-Beam really inaccurate all of a sudden?
Okay so let me explain exactly what i mean here. When i played New Vegas a while ago, i used the Tri-beam Laser Rifle and it had an insane accuracy. i could one-shot pretty much anything from miles away. But now when i use the exact same build, i seem to be struggling hitting anything from relatively close. I have to fire like three times to hit and kill enemies that used to die from one shot. I really don't understand why, since the Tri-beam laser rifle really shouldn't be this inaccurate and weak.
i have 100 in energy weapon skill
i have a (GRA) Tri-Beam Laser rifle in perfect condition
i have the required strength to use the Tri-Beam
i have 1st recon beret
i have no limb damage
Is there something that i have forgot about here?

hhhmm yeah i did think about that, but there isn't really any perk that would improve the accuracy like that as far as i remember. Also, last time i started using the Tri-Beam very early. It feels like there is something that i am not thinking about.

How's your luck stat? Are you using chems to boost accuracy and/or damage? Are you 100% sure you were using the Tri-Beam Laser the last time and not a regular Laser Rifle with the splitter beam mod thing? Does your Tri-Beam Laser have any of its own mods added atm? Are you at the same level now as you were when you were using it last time?

Lastly, how long ago was 'a while'? Are you misremembering how powerful/accurate it actually was?
Memory can be tricky: I spent over an hour crawling through the bungalows in Jacobstown once because I was utterly convinced that I remembered some kind of secret panel or room thingy was there. (there was nothing btw, don't waste your time like I did lol)

My luck stat is at 9, so that should not be the issue (same as before). Also, i thought Luck improved the chance of critical hits but not accuracy. The much better accuracy from before was without using chems. I am 100% sure that it was the Tri-Beam. As of what level i was before when i started using it, i am not entirely sure but i am pretty sure that it was not higher than now. How long ago that was? In was in like January-February this year, so it wasn't that long ago.

tri beam is tired of you abusing it to win every fight and is refusing to work, to prove yourself to lord tri beam you must kill the alpha deathclaw with your bare hands.
