LONG 15

In Fallout New Vegas does anyone know what the Long 15 does, it is situated (the gate) at the end of the outpost on the southwest- I think - of the map. when you get to the gate is says you need a key so I clicked on it and pressed unlock went down the road and it was nothing, I thought It might be something to do with a DLC I don't have. Please help if enyone knows why this is here

It's for the DLC Lonesome Road and can be visited after completing it under certain conditions

The Long 15 is several things. In the vanilla game it is the road that leads from the Mojave Outpost through Sloan. One of the endings of Lonesome Road also unlocks a new irradiated area called the Long 15.

Long 15 is a highway from the Mojave outpost to the Strip. Its infamous for the amount of Deathclaws that kill new couriers as they make their way to the Strip.
