NVAC not working?
So first of all when i install NVSE i don't have a data/nvse/plugins folder so i make one myself and it doesnt fix anything.

The d3dll thing works for me but it wrecks performance. Anyone know how to get NVAC working?

d3dll works for me even on ultra.
What kind of computer are you using?

The only version of NVAC that works is the latest beta one. Make sure you're using that. I know from experience that this fix works, and it works better than the crappy d3d9.dll one.

It works for me but it's reading my 980 as a 7900 and it defaults to a low resolution each time i boot it. NVAC just seems like a cleaner and safer way to do it if i could get it to run.

I can confirm that installing NVSE and the NVAC BETA VERSION (7.5.0.B3) resolves the CTD after the intro movie when starting a new game.

NVSE http://nvse.silverlock.org/
NVAC http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/53635/?

Tested on Win10 Anniversary Update (version 1607, Build 14393.321)
GTX 950 with driver version 373.06 (released 10/06/2016)

Indications are this is a result of the Windows 10 Anniversary update and recent Nvidia driver(s) missing or with broken support for the Direct3D 9Ex runtime.

Remove the d3d9.dll hack before installing NVAC if you haven't already and confirm sure that you downloaded the beta version of NVAC, not the main file.
