Fallout New Vegas PC windows 10, ds4 for ps4 controller now stuck on walk mode help please

Everything was working just fine...I spent my whole weekend learning how to mod and modding it so it can function...

I noticed the mouse controls are idk sluggish for me....So I opted to plug in my ps4 controller. I got help from here and reddit to get DS4 program and everything has worked like a charm....

Until I decided to hit the about/macro button just to read how to unplug my controller from the controller (using ps button and options together)

Yet, upon doing this...I don't know what else i touched or did...But upon reconnecting my controller my character is STUCK IN SLOW WALK MODE

I checked to make sure I am not over-encumbered; I disconnnected to see if the problem was deeper...Luckily using the mouse and keyboard the caps lock and shift buttons work. Thus the issue is the controller.

I lurked and lurked and can't find a solution...Please help...

tl;dr my ps4 controller using ds4 for fallout new vegas decided to crap out on me after I pressed the wireless disconnect button and reconnected it...My toon is stuck in perpetual walk mode...The keyboard and mouse work fine. The caps lock toggle and shift walk work...But upon reconnecting the controller it goes back to snail crawl...

What can i do?

Sounds like what my controller did. It was the stick it self that was staying on slightly from wear or debris, try tapping the stick in the reverse direction to see if it stops.
