Do I need to start a new game to play the DLC
Hi! I am part way through a game (level 14) and have just bought the DLC. Will I have to start over to access the DLC or is the new content added to my existing game?

Added to existing game. You should get 4 quests added to your journal for the main dlc, and the gra just adds a bunch of weapons and mods to the base game.
