Just read this, seriously bro!
Welcome back btw
No.
That isn't even a mod list, it's an internet ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Top 10 list with 11 extra entries.
A third of those mods are obsolete and broken, and another third are completely incompatible with each other. The ones that are modern and work are great, but again incompatible with some others.
It even recommends Vortex, which is *not* a good idea to use with New Vegas.
Use the Viva New Vegas[vivanewvegas.github.io]guide. If you want to use TTW, use the Best of Times[thebestoftimes.github.io]guide instead.
FNV Realistic Wasteland Lighting (it's not to everyone's preference, but IMO it makes the game look better and removes the yellow filter in the vanilla game.)
NMCs Texture Pack
NVTF - New Vegas Tick Fix
Casino Crowds
Weapon Mesh Improvement Mod
EVE - Essential Visual Enhancements
Wasteland Flora and Terrain Overhaul
Interior Lighting Overhaul
MTUI
Yukichigai Unofficial Patch (I highly recommend this one.)
Caveats for newer players - EVE and WMIM conflict. Should choose one or the other.
Interior Lighting Overhaul needs patches for almost everything, and I believe conflicts with RWL - should be using Simple Interior Lighting Overhaul instead.
MTUI is ancient, obsolete, and should not be used. It breaks and/or conflicts with thousands of other mods. Use VUI+ and HUD Editor instead.
NMC texture pack
NVR New Vegas Restauration : make a better strip because the vanilla one doesn't seem to be saved from the bomb by Mr. House
Better New Vegas : Add a lot of building, because the vanilla games town are pretty empty
Weapon animation replacer
Weapon mod expended
Weapon retexture project
Classic adobe Building because it remind me fallout 1&2
populated casino & populated wasteland
NV Restoration and Better New Vegas require tons of patches and are highly incompatible with many, many other mods. Avoid.
WAR is obsolete and should no longer be used - use kNVSE and related packs.
Weapon Retexture Project has some long-term issues. Should be using Simplified Weapon Retexture Project.
Weapon Mods Expanded (WMX) has tons of compatibility issues and requires lots of patching. Not worth the trouble, especially since the mods it adds are neither balanced nor do most of them make sense or look good. In some cases it actually removes features from weapons just to "add" mods to them.
Classic Adobe Buildings looks good, but it's also incomplete and incompatible with a massive amount of other mods. Avoid.
Populated Casinos is obsolete, broken, and absolutely kills performance even on modern machines. Use Casino Crowds instead.
Mmmmh I don't have any problems except for WMX and WRP where very few weapons I don't use have a texture bug when I add them a mod.
I don't have any other compatibility or performance issues, are you sure you are using Wrye Bash??? I don't have a ton of mods either so I guess it's easier.
Anyway, I use them because I have no problems with them. They work for me, but you are probably right, there must be newer and better mods today
yeah I agree, the vanilla one are hideous and we can't even tell what color they are lmao
