Gatling Laser bug
Hi, I'm having a bug with the Gatling Laser where it won't fire even if I hold the fire button, it just makes the revving up sound for a moment followed immediately with the sound when you stop firing, also, when I release the fire button, it only fires once and doesn't keep firing until I release the button again. Things I've tried:

-Fixing the weapon up to max condition.
-Switching the ammo/reloading the weapon.
-Spawning the weapon using console commands.
-Reloading a previous save and getting the weapon again.
-Downloading "Automatic Weapons Fix" from the Nexus.

I do have some mods installed, and had a few more like Project Nevada and WRP, but I uninstalled them a long time ago and I haven't noticed any errors like this. I've also tried other automatic weapons like the Minigun and it works just fine. I would greatly appreciate any help to fix this.

I used to get that all the time, but I think I fixed it by downloading StewieTweaks and editing a certain line. (Download the main file, and a .ini file)

I made this change, as well as stability fixes and a few other vanilla-ish features in the tweaks ini file here -> https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/71304

Alternatively, you can download either the Preconfigured .ini from https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66347
which is loaded with combat tweaks

or make 2 changes to the plain ini provided on his page:

find these to lines and set them to 1

bAutoWeaponNoFiringDelay = 1

bInlineVanillaFunctions = 1

Also, if this DOES fix the issue, that would confirm a lot for me.

Please share your findings.

I've tried it and it seems to have solved part of the issue, now the gun does fire when holding down the fire button, but it still plays the revving up sound followed directly by the revving down, and the fire rate is not what it should be, it looks about on par with a semiautomatic weapon like the Service Rifle, but at least it now fires two lasers per "cycle" instead of just one.

That is very strange. My other recommendation is that you see all the stability mods on my guide. It has quite a few that you might not be aware of, and they may correct the issue. If not, the last thing I can recommend is trying to reinstall the game using my stability mods as a base. Take note of the Tweaks section for optimum performance.

After the stability mods have been installed, then reinstall your own mods on top, and see if that fixes the issue. I apologise though, as even installing one stability mod will ruin your save files.
