What is the best GRA gun for stealth

I'm trying to decide between a silenced AMR and sleepytime, and I'm also wondering if explosive rounds affect stealth?

EDIT 1: Another question, how much will I find myself sniping rather than using something more practical in close range combat such as a SMG?

Suppressed AMR is still hella loud. its not silenced its suppressed.

Christines Silenced Sniper rifle is pretty good though thats OWB not GRA. Putting a silencer on a 12.7 mm and use the Hand load rounds it probably very effective.

other sneaky weapons to consider are ratslayer and the LE bb gun.

I would go with the sniper you get from old world blues or the ratslayer i killed all of helios one with the ratslayer.

Silenced 12.7mm with JHP rounds is your best bet for stealth.

If you're wanting long range though then yeah the silenced AMR with Match Rounds would be the way to go.

The pistol is yes, the SMG isn't.

The silenced 22 LR pistol is surprisingly handy. The one that sort of looks like a Colt Whisper but looks more like a Ruger Mark.

I agree, against weak targets, but it is difficult to use especially in areas like the Ultra-Luxe, or when you fight Benny & his guards (or even him alone), many of the time, I find it much easier to bring in a 10mm submachine gun I loot off of one of the dead Kings in Freeside. In early game, targets are a lot weaker and it is a bit more useful, but at that time, there is not much of a use for holdout weapons.

Sleepytyme is better for sneaky run. They hit 3 in vats as a smg and completely silenced. Good smg and cri. Personally it's my favorite gun in this game.
