I can't complete Heartaches by the number

I got Heartaches by the number started and am at the part where I have to try and get Cass to sell Cassidy Caravans to the Crimson Caravan, but the prompt just... Isn't there? Am I missing something or is it a bug?

In fact, I'm having this same problem for Birds of a Feather too, Cass is just broken for some reason

I had the same problem as you. It's possible this happens because I was doing both quests at the same time. Maybe these quests shouldn't even be started simultaneously. But to answer your question: Yes it is most likely a bug related to the way these quests conflict with each other

I very recently had both of these quests going at the same time and thought I was stuck at first. IIRC the barrier to Cass being able to move on from the outpost is to do the quest Can You Find It In Your Heart? for Ranger Jackson who is in the other building, or getting rid of him in secret. Basically he is the gateway preventing Cass from being able to leave.

I advice folks to do the quest early, It outright gives you a service rifle for your efforts, which is way better than the varmint rifle
