Having issue installing Project Nevada Mod.
So, just want to get ahead of this question, I have installed the scripter extender for Fallout New Vegas, and FOMM.

However, I tried installing the mod using Vortex first, and when I enabled the mod and then started the game, there was no apparent changes as everything was exactly the same. Then I went and actually read the instructions for installation the author of the mod had, and realized that he wanted the game to be installed using FOMM. Okay.

So, I tried opening Package Manager. That kept crashing and asking me to login to my Nexus account, so I had to fiddle around with that for a while to fix it in settings. Now that doesn't crash anymore. Now I'm at the part of the instructions where it says " click on Add FOMod and select the downloaded archive file". What the hell is an archive file? The mod file I downloaded initially? The one I used Vortex to download?

So, I opened up Vortex Mods > falloutnv > Project Nevada 2_5-40040-2-5

There's nothing there I can select. Problem is, this is the only thing I can think of that comes to mind that might count as a downloaded archive file.

Does anybody know where I ought to look? I even checked Downloads, and there is nothing there related to Fallout NV mods. I'm stuck on this part, and I don't know what to do.

Your pc is trying to warn you not to download that hunk of junk.

In all seriousness, did you download FOMM or FOMM Fork?

Yes but which one. FOMM is outdated and prone to crashing. FOMM Fork is the updated one.

Click on the "add fomod" button not the arrow part. When the window opens go to the downloads section under quick access. Then you can select the mod you downloaded.

Download PN manually do not click the one that says "download with mod manager".

Project Nevada is way out of date at this point, not to mention the version of MCM it includes for whatever reason, better off looking for other menu tweaking based mods, plus I'm sure there are standalone sprint mods and others that do what PN does.

Don't use Project Nevada, use standalone mods
