*spoilers* Chief Hanlon + Caesar
So This is just me checking, I know that if i kill Caesar i can convince Hanlon to STOP FALSIFYING THE GODAMN REPOR-

But killing caesar didn't feel right for some reason, so i'm wandering if I have to kill caesar to convince Hanlon to stop.

If you don't kill Caeser then you are forced to either turn a blind eye or expose him, you can only convince him to stop if Caeser is dead.

If you interrogate silus right you can tell hanlon that caesar is sick, in my case i killed the legion at the fort with boone cos i messed up the interrogation

That's cut content, none of the conditions or scripts for it are set up and Hanlon's topic for "Caesar is sick" only appears after Caesar is dead, which is obviously a bug.

Yep. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some cut content mod that restores the Silus path but unmodded killing Caeser is the only way to convince Hanlon to stop.

If you're not going Legion, there is no real reason NOT to kill Caesar.
Especially when you're going to kill Lanius as well.

Honestly for me, it just didn't feel right for some odd reason

Well if you won't kill him, his brain tumor will.
Or some NCR troopers/veteran rangers/securitrons as they over run his fort.

Not sure if this is the same reason as you but I agree. It feels wrong that you can just walk into his camp and kill him in broad daylight that easily, Caesar should be the single most well protected person in the entire game get getting to and killing him is laughably easy. Like sure The Courier has the power of being a videogame protagonist, but still.

Killing him should have been some quest where you catch him in transit and ambush him much like the Assassination of Kimball.

I mean, they disarm you as you get into the fort.
The few pea shooters you can sneak in, will have a hard time killing him.
But as a videogame protagonist, it is made possible for some reason for the Courier.

Maybe if they made it so they will instantly force you out of his tent the moment you so much as put up your fists? Let alone of pulling out a weapon.

Shooting your way in from the front gates instead of being disarmed is what I was referring to. Sure sneaking in with just a holdout weapon making things a bit more difficult, but simply laying a one man siege to The Fort is a joke and just feels wrong from a narrative perspective.
