How to mod the game give the "remastered" feeling?

So FNV somehow flew under my radar, given how much I love Bethesda games made in creation engine because of how versatile they are. But given how this is now a 10 years-old game, it obviously look dated. So I decided to buy the game during steam sale and mod the ♥♥♥♥ out of the game to make it look and feel like a current-gen game

I made the mistake of following multiple guides at once using vortex, which caused various glitches, to the point of where the game would crash in the start-up screen. I said "♥♥♥♥ this!" and purged all mods using vortex, deleted the data folder, and re-validated the game with steam.

This time I used MO2 and followed the Viva New Vegas guide, and feel I got the hang of the basic download and installation of the usual mods. I've already installed NMCs Texture pack (medium), but I still feel I have long ways to go. Any recommendations? I'm looking for mods that overhaul just about any aspect of the game.

On a side note, I am not sure if this is because of VNV, but the enemy markers/ticks on the compass are not showing, no matter how close or far away they are. I have just started a new character, so maybe it has something to do with my character being a low level?

Just mods assorted gives you bullet time sprint, weapon wheel. B42 Quickthrow is grenade hotkey.

Stewie ai tweaks gives you more levels and perks.

From there you'd have to look on your own. I'm sitting around 85 plug-ins myself and all of its really preference. The one id def say is worth getting for some cool lore to fallout 3 is amacurzeros animated wastelands. It adds zeppelins to fallout 3 near the citadel and makes you pay with pre war money for soda outta vending machines. Also some other cool things are added with it like computer screen savers and microfilm machines.
