How do I trigger companion quests?

I've done about 95% of the game now, including DLC but I forgot that companions have quests due to me not using them at all, is there a way to quickly get companions to "trust" you so you can access their quest lines?

As Veronica's quest, at least any 3 visit locations. Like Camp McCarran, Old Mormon Fort, Nellis Air Force Base's Museum, Vault 3, or Repconn Test Site with come fly with me quest.

You need to actually go there with the relevant companion and wait for them to comment on it/ talk to the relevant people.

With Boone and ED-E if you've already done the things that give you points then you're outta luck, though with the others you can still do them just quick duck back through the locations with the right person following you.

It's just they mustn't have done so with the relevant companions present (or left too early) as otherwise they'd have already gotten the trust points. Going there doesn't matter unless you have the companion actually with you.

Plus, the other post have conveniently mentioned that he has explorer perk, which may mislead someone that he has only the map locations revealed, but hasn't been there yet. Combine these two at once, it's reasonable to assume that you actually didn't saw that he's *been* to every locations.

Oh, and by the way, there are some cases where if you've already been to the place, or talked to certain NPC where it would earn history points for certain companion, going there/talking them again with the right companion won't earn the point. Crashed Vertibird for Arcade is one of the examples I can think of.

Eh I tend to take sentences in their entirety, so if it contains two pieces of information they are both taken as important. Even if I did misunderstand and thought it was just through explorer that they were revealed I still stated that they needed to bring the companion with them so the point remains the same regardless as there are two requirements ("go to place" and "have companion with you") and the sentence listed both requirements in it.

Sorry if I was unclear, I have indeed been to EVERY location on the map besides the long 15 which im pretty sure isn't accessable anyway

Long15 is only accessible if you nuke the NCR at the end of Lonesome Road, similarly Dry Wells is only accessible if you nuked the Legion.
