If you plan to do the DLCs very late then taking this trait can prevent the enemies there from being grossly overleveled - i have to admit though that i have never used it either (yet).

It's basically put in the game for people who think level 50 makes the game way too easy and to keep builds unique. I haven't used it myself, but I do use jsawyer mod which slows exp gain down and makes 35 the max level

you can remove the trait at the OWB autodoc when you hit level 30. so it makes chems last 2x longer and no addictions for the first 30 levels. allowing you to go crazy.

one you hit level 30 and have a good supply of chems and fixer, remove it with the autodoc.

the early part of the game is the difficult part.

If you're looking to make your build optimal then no.
It's there purely to gimp your character so that you can't just max out most of your skills and get a stupid number of perks making your endgame character less of a "jack of all trades master of all".

So many wrong assumptions here that I'll have to necro this one.

Yes. It is worth it. It's the strongest trait in the game by far. You don't even need to remove it in the autodoc if you want it, although it is recommended. Buy all the med-x and you'll basically have a power armor plus your regular armor at all times, and that is only one drug.

I'll let you think about all the others.

It's not like you even really need that in the base game though, chems are tossed at you like penny candy and even on very hard you can very easily be overgeared for any given point in the game. The DLCs at higher levels are really the only point where you would want to always be chemed up. Even with jsawyer, very hard/hardcore, and additional difficulty tweaks, you won't be running out unless you run straight from goodsprings to mid-game questing or DLC

and getting rid of the side effects of the cems also cost literally nothing.

That's my point. Junkie build is one of many valid options to play the game hardcore-style, and logan loophole is hands-down the best trait since it turns the early game into a kid's party.

it's op as ♥♥♥♥. playin wasted character which blow away ever person he meet
clarkeveritas Feb 25, 2021 @ 8:06pm
Never picked that perk, but I'm 100% about the Junkie Builds. Can't beat a Med-x/Psycho/Steady combo with a side of Rebound and the occasional Ultrajet/Rocket/Jet. 50 caps to cure addiction everyso often is a small price to pay. Oh, and Partytime Mentats.... those things are an instant +10 to all CHR abilities. Mix with boosted Salesman Weekly and that's +30 to bartering when you need it.

at this point it would be better just take the chem resistant perk and spamm drugs all day, and even if the character gets adicted somehow, the cost for the doctors help is like pocket money, and also the player can buy/find fixer all over in the world.

i never seen any point of this logan hole trait, its just screwing the player character up for a positive effect that can be gained with little to no effort anyway during the gameplay.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
