Need help with FPS cap
I am using TTW and have installed the fallout new Vegas tick fix which lets you play at higher than 60fps. I have the mod enabled and ipresentinterval=0 as well as vsync off in control panel. My monitor is 144hz and after all I’ve done the game is still playing in 60hz. Any help is appreciated.

Are you using any other mods? Specifically something like an ENB? The enblocal.ini file often has an FPS lock enabled by default.

I only have precision collision, collision meshes, neat clutter, hd weapons, and bottle that water installed currently as mods.

So no ENB?

How about the Fallout_default.ini
Did you change iFPSClamp=60 to 0?

I will change that. Since I’m using TTW does it have to be the fallout new Vegas ini?

I have changed all ini's i have found to be iFPSClamp=0 there is only one that i cannot change it is the fallout.ini. I did this for fallout new vegas files and the fps is still at 60.

The Fallout.ini might be set to read only. Just right click, select properties and then uncheck read only and yeah it has to the Fallout New Vegas ini. TTW just runs Fallout 3 off the New Vegas engine. It basically treats Fallout 3 like one giant DLC. It's still inherently New Vegas.

I have unchecked the read only box and all ini's for FNV now say iFPSClamp=0 as well as iPresentinterval=0 and iFPS=0. I have BLEED installed and New Vegas enhanced camera as well. I am still stuck at 60fps. Could it be an ini tweak i did not change in the Tick Fix Mod?

Could be the tick fix. I believe the enhanced camera has an .ini as well. Might want to check there.

Just disabled the camera mod and its still at 60. The tick fix has a whole ini file with settings, want me to post it?

nah its okay. I just downloaded it myself to see some of the options. Looks like you just need to change some stuff under the [FPSFix] tab. This is copy-pasted from that section.

[FPSFix]
;Set this to your fps cap plus 60. Putting it at 0 will remove the max checks, but it will definitely have repercussions if you plan to Alt-Tab, and it's generally NOT recommended.
;If you can't stand the spider fingers bug and your max fps are 60, ignore above, set this to 59, ensure you limit your fps to 59 or 60
iMaxFPSTolerance=118
;If you know you're able to get more than 24 fps all the time, put this at your desired minimum. Otherwise, leave it. The absolute minimum would be 1. But I would strongly discourage to go below 20.
iMinFPSTolerance = 24
;Like SKSE Havok Fix
bfMaxTime=1
;lipsync fix
fDialogFixMult=2.000

So just set iMaxFPSTolerance to 0 and that should work. :cozybethesda:

I set iMaxFPSTolerance to 0 and when i loaded my game it was a black screen. Think its frozen. I appreciate your help tho, Im struggling with this lol apparently other people download it and its working perfect for them. Edit: I disabled the camera mod and now it isnt a black screen but its still at 60 according to steam and my FPS counter.

Yeah sorry I couldn't be of much help. Unless someone else can help, you might just be better off posting on the mod page.

tgspy is pretty responsive and he'd definitely know more about the inner workings of the mod he created lol
