Low fps with enb

Just wanted to say that i have no idea where to post about this issue, so i'm going to post it here :/

I'm not sure if it's just me, but whenever i first install enb and launch the game, my frame rate drops dramatically after 4 minutes and stays that way for the rest of the game. it does not return to normal after restarting, and instead, it remains at a low frame rate, as if it were capped at 10 frames per second. however, if i uninstall enb, launch the game, and then reinstall it (dropping the d3d9.dll into the fallout dir), the frame rate returns to normal, but after a few minutes of gameplay, it drops back to low again

I got no idea why this "issue" is happening, and i've got a gaming laptop with a rtx 2060 6gb, as well as the usual batch of mods to make Fallout new vegas playable. my game runs smoothly without enb also

My temperature during gameplay is around 90-92°c

On the GPU? That's fine for CPU, but if GPU temps that high you are probably throttling like crazy.

Haha no, my gpu reaches temps of 75-80°c

Have you tried toggling the various memory settings in the ENB ini to see if one of them improves things?

Lmao and yes, i did set up my values (VideoMemorySizeMb, ReservedMemorySizeMb) in my enblocal.ini, and i changed to make my game run in borderless mode. i haven't touch enbseries.ini either at all, and practically any other settings in enblocal.ini besides the ones i mentioned above

Mess with some of the other settings in enblocal, unsafe memory hacks and the like.

ENB can be a bit trial and error at times.

Nothing appeared to have changed, my game still has low frame rates, but it appears to be entirely due to my gpu's temperature, as it rises above 80 (82), unless something else is going on entirely

It's strange because i've never had this problem before, only now with Fallout nv. iI'll look into it further, maybe there are some answers on the internet

Definitely update the thread if you get it figured out, I'm curious.

thermal problems probably, you might as well blow off some dust and change the paste both in cpu and gpu, worth a try

I dont think its a thermal issue, its simply that when my temperature rises too high, fallout (and just fallout with enb) slows down. i gave my computer a good cleaning a few days ago, and everything worked as it should.
My computer is also designed to withstand high temperatures by default, so idk why i have this issue to begin with. i think enb is capped to something or its a command somewhere in fallout's .ini in docs thats causing it

Additionally, the game does not give a single damn about your GPU, it is completely CPU-limited. If you are on an AMD FX 4000/6000/A-series chip or on an Intel Celeron, it will lag, period.
