I used the Browning Hi Power a lot in this game. Whatever the hell it's called in the game. The 13+1 Automatic Pistol.

It's easy to find and cheap. If player can get the one in doc house in Goodsprings, that smg can carry player to Vegas or until you can get to GRA shop with no problems.

9mm is a good weapon for any kind of low level raider or critter.
The unique version Maria can deal with anything weaker than a fire Gecko using the better ammo types and a little speccing into crit chance.

And that is on Very Hard mode.

The standard trash pistol is incredibly useful against animals. Get all the upgrades, use handloaded ammo, and mash away.

good if you want to make Kimball go on a leisurely car ride in late summer Sarajevo

Maria is pretty decent, Vance's 9mm submachine gun is pretty decent vs unarmored targets if you get grunt and use the hand loader rounds.

its a 60 round clip SMG with common ammo. It is a gun I like alot for Cazadores, nightstalkers, tunnelers, and less so for other things. unarmored things that swarm you, pull out Vances 9mm sub machine gun. put them down.

spray and Pray.

the regular 9mm pistol, I mean it works. you can put a scope on it! it seems pretty inaccurate for sniping with the scope but you can put a scope on it. good fire rate, same damage as most other early weapons.

its better than the varmint rifle, but not really useful for things that aren't trash. killing powder gangers or whatever, though sure, put them down with the 9mm.
