I know it does, but I want to sell it fast before I forget about them LOL

The most efficient use for a gold bar is to pay for/offset major purchases at the Gun Runners.

Edit: nobody in the game has enough money to buy multiple bars at once.

sell one, wait 48 hours for restock, sell another, wait another 48 ... you get the point.

Don't sell them and decorate your house(s) with them.

Do sleeping or wait counts towards this?

both should allow vendors to respawn.

Yes. Its in game days. Not real world days. Though I thought it was 3 days for all the Vendors to restock. I always use the gold trade in to buy crap tons of Gun Runners Arsenal weapons and mods. That crap is expensive, but that Gold really helps.

It's not every three days for vendors, it's like every Wednesday and Sunday, and you have to be outside of the cell for anything to restock or respawn.

Actually. The best way I find is to go to one of the holographic vendors in Dead Money and just sell the Gold Bars to the vendors there. You get the value in Pre-War Money and does depend on your Barter skill. However Pre-War money is plenty in Dead Money and you can sell it to any merchant in the normal game. It also have no weight and should be valued around 7 caps each with some decent Barter skill.

So if you ask me. Just sell the gold bars before you leave Dead Money. It is much more of a pain to sell it outside of Dead Money then within it.

I've done a hell of a job, dropping every item on my inventory and getting all the gold bars near in the trash can near the GRA vendor. Sold 2 of them and kept going to the Lonesome Road. So far, I'm pretty rich with 30k of caps (in this DLC there's a freaking lot of those Pre-War Money, so I can keep it pretty good in caps all the time). While I still have to finish the main campaign, I wish that those gold bars just don't vanish, since the game has a lot of glitches.

gun runners. They don't got alot of caps especially early on but they have a hell of alot of weapons and ammo. Something you can do is cash out the casinos and buy all their weapons then just swap the gold bars for the weapons and ammo and armors. Then it's just a matter of selling it at other vendors throughout the game (But tbh you got a ♥♥♥♥ ton of caps may as well just keep all the equipment).

The only other place that would have that much caps (if you spend them btw there) is the brotherhood of steel bunker trader near the gun range. I remember i bought a ♥♥♥♥ ton of items for alot of caps and they kept it at like 20k caps. Game never changed it just restocked on items.

The irony of the gold bars is that they're too heavy and if you can carry them all out it's harder to get rid of them. It's the main theme of dead money. You're supposed to let it go lol.

Indeed it is. But it's a game. If it was in real life, I wouldn't do that LOL

What I like to do is if you're in a hurry to sell all 37,head to a comisary in the divide. They always restock back to 6000 caps when you clear them out and its gets you ~186000ish caps
