How to make companions wear 0 DT outfits?

Is there a way to make companion wear a outfit that has less protection then their standard armour without use of mods. Maybe via a glitch/bug or console commands? Thx

Dunno how to do it without mods, but if I'm pretty sure this has mod has an option in the MCM to let you decide what your companions wear: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50468 .

Cool. I might check it out if I manage to fix my mod manager and some stuff that got messed up.

There are probably console commands that allow you to remove their default gear and equip something, but getting the mod to do it is much easier.

Ill browse the console commands on fo wiki some more if there isnt ill just use a mod I guess.

Console commands might disable achievements, be warned.

They do disable achievements, but only for as long as you keep the game open afterwards. If you save, close the game, load that save back, you can keep the console command changes and keep unlocking achievements.
