Tried the archive invalidation but didn't think to verify, thanks pardner. let's see what happens.
Happy Trails.
Cheers,
T
Well, tried everything... tried "validating", tried dropping out ALL character/NPC mods, deleted all save games (in game) and, eventually, reinstalled the game from fresh and reactivated certain "texture" and equipment mods and guess what?
Still have one race with pink faces...
Out of ideas, anybody else got any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers pardners,
T
Still trying to pin this one down, it would seem, from following all discussions that reference "pink faces", that it has been problematic since around 2014/2015.
Is there a way to manually retrieve particular meshes if they have disappeared does anyone know?
Cheers,
T
What race has the "pink face" also what mods do you have on?
The race that has the missing face mesh, or the glitched mesh, is (this is embarassing...!!!) African-American NPC's - and please, don't think for one minute that I'm being funny or racial, I just don't know where the mesh went and I can't seem to gt it back.
I have dropped a great number of the "texture/mesh" mods that I was running and minimised any game changing mods such as colour changers, weather mods etc.
Here's the ESM and .esp list and the order in which they load; I did consider, already, whether clothing and armor mods such as neckchains, scarves, bandannas, hats etc. might interfere with NPC head meshes but then reasoned that if it were true for one type of NPC it should be the same effect on all NPCs.

There it is, everything currently running herein. I also have the 4GB memory patch running along with, as I've mentioned prior, NVAC, NVSE, NVSR,
Also, through FOMM, Roberts body Mods and patches as well as "for Breeze male Bodies 48848-1-2"
Any ideas you can offer would be gratefully appreciated.
Cheers,
T
Another thought just occurred to me - at one point I had the mod Fallout Characters Overhaul active... I also applied the FCO Pink Faces fix.
Is it possible that saves cached in "the cloud" are still influencing the current game? I have deleted ALL saved games since I uninstalled the Fallout Characters Overhaul, perhaps it is a "remnant" of having this mod set installed that's causing the problem - how do we erase saves from the cloud?
Is there a particular file/folder location in the Steam/ Fallout New Vegas folder in my PC that's carrying something over?
Whaddaya think?
Cheers,
T
Here is a reddit post/thread on this issue.

Steam thread that also helps: https://steamcommunity.com/app/22380/discussions/0/485623406940725517/
Here is all the information you will need.
Have been there and covered those... I've been working this problem for a while now and have read/watched everything I've been able to scrounge up. I am tending, now, toward thinking that it may be a "corruption" of the Fallout.ini from some mod change. I'm now tearing apart my .ini files to make sure I'm only running an unchanged "vanilla" .ini
If I can't pull it out at that then I'm going to eliminate FONV from this here PC, uninstall it at my Steam page and delete all content and reference to it then go back and re-install a "squeaky clean" copy.
I really don't know why it's being such a rascal to get to the bottom of this.
Cheers,
T
Took everything down last night, deleted/erased and shredded everything connected with FOMM and FONV. Re-installed the game overnight and re-downloaded a limited number of base mods.

Dramatically cut down load out reduces possibility of mod-glitch BUT we still have those pink faces Houston...
I think the only thing left is to take down ALL modifiers and put them in 1 by 1 and start the game after each addition.
Any other suggestions welcomed.
Cheers,
T
Well, stripped out everything except this,
FalloutNV.esm
DeadMoney.esm
HonestHearts.esm

OldWorldBlues.esm
TribalPack.esm
MercenaryPack.esm
ClassicPack.esm
CaravanPack.esm

No mods at all, no anti-anythings loaded, no fixers or gameplay extenders/controllers...just this and NO pink faces.
If anyone has any suggestion, based on the lists I've posted previously I would appreciate it... maybe you're seeing something I'm not.
Cheers,
T
Found 1 mod that changes African-American skin tone to pink.
Rose of Sharon Cassidy-50242-
Could be the answer, going to keep checking 1 by 1
Long day but that's it. In my system/game, for some unfathomable reason, the above mod changes the faces, on a certain race, pink.
Don't get me wrong, it may not be the mod above, per se... it could be that this mod conflicted with another mod I had loaded. The point is that, and this is where I fell down, if you put a mod in your game you should check right away to see if it's caused a malfunction.
Cheers,
T
