Can't alt-tab

When I alt-tab the game freezes until I close it. I have the Ruby ENB. Is that why this is happening? I don't want to get rid of the ENB.

I have a few other mods but it's just stuff like the Enhanced Blood Textures, and YUP

All Bethesda engine games either crash or have glitches when you alt tab. Unless you run it in borderless windowed mode , you just don't alt tab these games.

Some systems seem to have less problems than others when alt tabbing these games, but there's no Rhyme or reason as to what the cause is.

OneTweak is a mod that lets you run it in Borderless window and you can safely alt tab.

I installed it and nothing changed. I launched in windowed mode.

Try changing the priority in the configuration settings (the ini file for onetweak).

The only other way to be able to alt-tab safely is by using NVTF with certain config settings, however ENB is not compatible with NVTF's method of alt-tabbing due to ENB being an incomplete d3d9.dll

I fixed the problem. I downloaded a mod called "Fake fullscreen" for Fallout New Vegas.

Anyone coming to this page in 2023 and on, looking for alt+tab fix. Grab OneTweak. In my MO2 I had put a custom setup in Falloutcustom.ini. if you did not make a custom. Check your FalloutPrefs.ini file usually located in ThisPC>Documents>My Games>FalloutNV. In the [Display] section look for

bFull Screen=1
And set it to
bFull Screen=0

This worked for me and I can alt+tab no problem. Good luck!
