[SOLVED] How Do I Download and Install NMC's Texture Pack?
Awhile ago, I created a discussion where I asked everyone how to fix my game. Essentially, NMC's texture pack, one of the largest texture mods for New Vegas, was causing major conflicts. It seems that, during either the download or installation of NMC's Texture Pack, certain textures became corrupted in the process. Unusually, however, the game wouldn't display default textures when it was running, instead, it would try and display the corrupted textures, meaning that most areas in the game looked like my character and all the NPCs were floating in a black abyss. I struggled with the mod some more. During this process, I uninstalled NMC's texture pack so I could mess around with it later and try and fix the problem. However, when I tried to play the game, I'd have the same problems even without the textures installed. Essentially, the mod had somehow corrupted vanilla textures. Eventually, I was able to fix the problem, vanilla textures are now working, and I'm going to download and install NMC's Texture Pack once again. I want to take this process very carefully. So how can I do it without causing errors like the ones described above?

I have followed the manual install directions before, but that didn't fix the problems.

I've always installed them using a mod manager, never experienced any significant issue

I've also tried using mod managers, specifically MO, but I'd still have these problems.

You just click manual install in MO2 and install.

Alright, I'll try that and see if it works.

So I tried using MO instead of NMM, and I could immeditaly tell it was working because default textures that I originally thought game didn't change were changed. That and the fact that the Prospector Saloon was no longer floating in a black abyss. Overall, if I've learned anything from this, it's that MO is my new favorite mod manager. Thanks to everyone that contributed.
