Killed great khan leaders help *SPOILERS*
So I want to do a Caesar based playthrough and I am currently on Render Unto Caesar, and when I approach him he wants me dead because the great khan thing failed. This is because I used Mr Sandman to kill them all in their sleep for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles, and had a quicksave beforehand so if quests failed I could go back, and none of them did. So I thought I was fine but I'm not. Any help resurrecting them/undo-ing this via console commands? Only save before I killed them all is when talking to benny in his suite (no platinum chip yet).

You'll probably end up breaking your game if you try and use the console to fix your screw up. I doubt very much if you have any other choice but to go back to that earlier save you mention. And next time, remember that your actions in this game have consequences. Don't do things that you might end up regretting later on.

yeah ok thanks, I tried to skip to the point where Caesar was killed in the surgery but he was just there anyway and the quest was complete but nothing else had changed so I might have to use that save if i want to side with Caesar :(

Maybe you should save more often.

A Legion playthrough is interesting. I think a lot of people think it's just a lot of mindless killing, but the Legion are actually pretty complex. Shame they're not as complex as was planned, but seeing what makes them do what they do from their perspective is interesting, and in many cases, killing someone important is detrimental to Legion plans.

No not really. When I play legion I avoid doing quest that could impact my Enron with the legion. I also don't go too hard on the NCR. I usually play nice with them until I become branded a terrorist. So I'm not sure where the complexity comes in. I agree that I wish they expanded on them. I really like this game but I keep thinking as I'm playing what new Vegas could have been if they gave the devs maybe 1 more year.

I don't know what you mean is 'not really'. The Legion questline is most certainly more than mindless killing, and they're more than just 'bad'. They are certainly bad, but what drives them is interesting. They believe they are bettering mankind by wiping out 'profligates' and thus purifying the gene pool. This is the same reason they don't use chems. They see right through the corruption of the supposedly good NCR and instead of being hypocrites like them, simply come out and own their desire to control everything to make sure it all works out.

Yes, of course they're dead wrong in their approach and their reasoning isn't even accurate, and there's more spoilers I'll avoid for people that haven't done it, but my point that they're not utterly simple is one worth making.

Agreed, New Vegas needed another year and it would have been a phnomenally superior experience. Moreover, probably wouldn't have been 32-bit? Actually, i think the original Skyrim was, so never mind. A 64-bit version of this game with better utilisation of multi-core CPUs would have allowed mods to do a hell of a lot more for us by now.

Never said it was mindless killing. It just not very complex. I can understand where you are coming from. They require a bit more thinking and actual timing to get done. Instead of being mild kill this or decide to not kill this which is a bit of a issue I had with the independent choice but I do wish the legion had more quest to do. They gave the ncr a suprisingly big amount but the legion don't get much besides render unto caesar, I put a spell on you, veni vidi vici, I think one of them relates to vault 21, another one at nelson and I think one at helios.

I didn't mean their quests were really complex; I just meant that a lot of people don't realise the Legion have more reasoning behind what they do than simply killing everything in their path. I meant their ideology is more complex than they're often given credit for. I like that the NCR seem like the good guys and the Legion seem like the bad guys but the more you get to know each one, the more you get the opposite of that. They never quite to the centre where both have enough good and bad to neutralise a moral alignment, and I prefer it that way.

The things that make the Legion bad are things that they believe are necessary for the greater good, whereas the things that make the NCR bad are things that they do because they want more control. Or at least, it's like that to a degree. Different ranks in both factions have different reasons for doing what they do. I don't really want to leave spoilers here for people that aren't familiar with the Legion questline but not everyone involved in it does what they do for the same reasons, similar to the NCR questline. Anyone that's met Cæsar and Lanius and spoken to them knows they're not identical in the way they approach their affiliation with their faction.

I agree, they should have done more with the Legion, so that's not what I meant. If only they'd had more time.
