Long 15/Dry Wells
How far are these places supposed to be from the Mojave? The ending cut scenes from Lonesome Road say they are "deep in NCR/Legion territory", but they appear to be locations just over the state lines.

Also, didn't Avellone or Sawyer say nuking the NCR was the canon ending for LR, because they wanted to bring it back to its post-nuclear setting?

Long 15 is on the I15, thus the name. I would assume that the precise location is somewhere on the 100 mile stretch between the Mojave Outpost and The Hub (present day Barstow.)

Similarly, Dry Wells could be anywhere on the Colorado River south from Cottonwood Cove, which follows the border of Arizona until reaching Mexico. Probably not that far south, though.

I don't believe anyone has said that any ending is canon, but Avellone did mention in an interview once that Lonesome Road was a way of resetting things:
Lastly, I wanted to nuke the Fallout world to reset things. NCR's getting a bit big, and it's making things too civilized. Lonesome Road was a way of resetting the culture clock.

Only avellone wanted the fallout franchise to reset back to post apocalyptic. Josh Sawyer the lead developer disagreed with that sentiment and so I'm pretty sure that ending isn't the canon one.

And it's ultimately up to Bethesda who owns the franchise what the actual canon ending is.

There's no doubt that the Long 15 is supposed to be just along the road from the Mojave Outpost, as there's a copy of the statue in the Long 15 worldspace.

There'd be some much but t hurt if they tried to talk about the West coast they wouldn't dare even bother. Their additions to Fallout are not well recieved by many people who would care so basically they'd just isolate a bunch of their audience for no real reason. My guess is New Vegas is the end of any stories from the West Coast. In either case I doubt nuking one outpost is really an 'ending'. If anything the tunnelers or the second battle for the dam would be a better way to stop the NCR from over civilizing the wastes.

Or maybe they can just make Dust canon.
