Dead Man's Hand is really bad.. but i want to finish it. HELP.
Ive played NV many times through, but this is the first time Ive played this particular DLC, and I have to say... its pretty bad. I like the premise, but its too linear for a Fallout game.
I just got in to the actual casino, which took me a few hours. I have no idea as to where to go from here.
Any hints or tips would be appreciated. Im two seconds away from usinf console cammands to leave leave the area and quit entirely. Any help you can offer will be very much appreciated.

O.K, heres watcha want to do. Quit. I know it's counter intuitive but please just quit. I played through that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a while back and i'm not ashamed to say it kicked my ass up and down the block. Just please, for you sake, just give it up. Your sanity isn't worth it.

If you haven't dumped enough points into survival, unarmed or melee weapons I'd say back out, level up a bit more to the point where Dead Money would be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ breeze. Otherwise, you're going to have to suffer through it.

I actually really like this DLC, as it really does have the best writing and characters in the franchise, but yeah, the actual gameplay is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cancer.

I love everything about this DLC and didn't think it was hard enough, and I played at a low level. My girlfriend loved it just as much and played it at an even lower level. Both of us on Hardcore and the hardest difficulty.

For the combat, you can just deplete their health your weapon of choice, and then hit them with the cosmic knife whilst they're unconscious.

For the speakers and holograms, well, if it frustrates you, just think of them as puzzles. I love puzzles. If you don't, then you may not like this and can look up the answers in a video. The gameplay is not that hard; the strategising can be is at some points.

yeah... ill tough it out for a while longer but I think I may just end up coming back when Im further along on this playthrough.
This DLC takes away your equipment.. and thats the real downside. My character is a very low level, which I knew was a bad idea when I started it.

Where is my ultimate goal? I found the safe, but its locked. I also found many locked doors... I feel a bit overwhelmed, which is a weird feeling, considering Im used to hard games. I think I just lost sight of the narrative goal somewhere along the way...
Do I need to regroup with my heist crew, or is there another way? I always play high intelligence/charisma characters, so this combat is just a torture. Can I talk my way out of this, by any chance?

I don't know, I don't really think Dead Money is hard in that sense. Even the combat. Taking away your equipment is brilliant, and one of the things it does is it means everything is accounted for, as you're only able to have the few pieces of equipment you find in the DLC.

What are your character's skills?

Perhaps you should even try using the beartrap fist on them if you're not an unarmed build. My girlfriend was focussing on melee, and that weapon wound up being prominent for her in this DLC, with no unarmed skill to speak of. She'd high strength, but that doesn't make a huge difference. Additionally, as I said, you can deplete their health with the police revolver or the holorifle, and then strike their body (quickly) with the cosmic knife.

As for what you're meant to be doing, it's pretty clear in the quest descriptions. When you say 'the safe' do you mean something else that isn't a safe? as I can't think of any really important safes. Give me a bit more on where you are in this. What's the current quest title? I hate saying this but just follow the marker. Any doors you need to unlock will be unlocked if you keep on with it.

You can't talk your way out of the combat, but your focus in that regard is not wasted in this DLC.

Last, if you reeeeeeally hate the DLC, just spawn better weapons or armour or whatever, or raise your skills for now and lower them when you leave. Just make sure to use modav, not setav or forceav. And there's a bug if you use God Mode, which you can google if you really want to use God Mode (which you shouldn't because it's really not that hard).

Dead Money(That's the name of the dlc not Dead man's hand.) is actually my favorite dlc.

The game gives you specific quests and you already made it through the villa, what do you mean you don't know where to go? There's barely any combat once you're in the villa and a high speech skill will likely help. As will a sneak skill. It's actually my favourite DLC, but most people have rather mixed opinions about it since it's quite alot harder than the basegame. I guess you shouldn't have ventured there at a low level, Honest Hearts is best suited for low-level-Couriers.
