Fallout character overhaul 3.0 is crashing my game, i can't get into Dr Mitchell's house.
Yeah i was just testing and for some reason, whenever i enter doc mitchell's house the loading screen just freezes. any ideas? Also, Fallout character overhaul crashes my game but when it's disabled my game works just fine. I also wanna get weapons retextured but i don't want my game to crash.

Oh yeah, and NVAC doesn't install on NMM

What version of NMM are you using? According to the NVAC mod page people with NMM ver. 65.2 are having problems with installing NVAC and have been fixing it by installing the more recent version 65.11 https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases/tag/0.65.11

Just to verify the basics for FCO, do you have NVSE, UIO, and the DLC Old World Blues installed? They are required. Did you make the .ini edit mandated in the installation instructions? Also, did you read the sections in FCO about load order, compatibility, and archive invalidation? Some of that (particularly archive invalidation) may have a bearing on your problem.

Last, are you using the most recent 4gb patcher? If you are not using it now and you plan to install some big mods you should install this.

you can just install nvac manually by dropping nvac.dll into the nvse plugins folder

What is showing up on the screen that makes you think OWB is causing the problem? Also, here is a copy and paste from the installation instructions on the mod page:

"Install UIO and the latest NVSE as mentioned above, they are required.

Install with Mod Organizer or FOMM, there is a FOMOD installer in the archive. This mod requires the Old World Blues DLC. After installing make sure to Archive Invalidate. See more on how to below. And also make sure bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 in FalloutPrefs.ini. If you are installing the Willow addon make sure to only have one esp ticked and if you want the Cazy version you need to install that mods meshes and textures first. I recommend when modding FNV to follow this guide, it's awesome. Also I recommend a new game when using FCO due to the changes it makes to races and also to start a new game if you want to uninstall."

The author clearly states you need OWB to run this and hence you should not disable OWB. Also, did you archive invalidate (which in NMM you do by clicking on "Tools" and the turning archive invalidation off and then back on) and/or start a new game after installation?
ah no i haven't done that yet, thing is, whenever i download FCO the three files that are related become red. And it says that oldworldblues.esm

You should never have to disable official content to make a mod work.

hmm, send me a friend request as i don't know how to put screenshots in the discussions

I'm sorry but I no longer send or accept friend requests. Moving on, for some last guesses, red text in Nexus Mod Manager usually means you have a missing master(s). Is your Old World .esm checked in the plugins tab in your NMM, and have you activated UIO fully (in mods tab there is a green check mark next to the mod)? Last, did you activate (green check next to FCO) the mod? Also, uncheck in the plugins tab FCO-Russell.esp. Finally, if you still can't get the mod to work after doublechecking that you have fully met all the installation instructions, you may need to give up on it; this mod (despite many endorsements) has been problematic for a great many users.
ah aright thanks dude, i haven't disabled FCO russel yet. I have archive invalidated. just wondering, what does arhive invalidation do?
