Howdy Gamestars, 'sup?

I kill him every time, sever his head, strip his armor and leave him draped across his throne.

First thing that happens,
Fight your way out of Fortification Hill fort.
Fight your way out of the cove.

From then on you will be targeted by Legion "hit squads" - they will spawn randomly and try and assassinate you.

Certain quests will automatically fail because Caesar is dead.

Other than that... life goes on pardner...
Cheers,
T

Damn, so Boone died for pretty much nothing? Thought I would get special treatment from the NCR or something.

Killing one guy isn't going to make an entire army instantly stand down.

Especially with someone like the Legate still around.

Killing Caeser does let you get the good ending for Return to Sender, plus some extra dialogue here and there

It's worth noting IMO that this is not the only way to trigger Legion hit squads. Simply getting enough negative reputation with the Legion will have the hit squads come after you either from doing certain quests or simply killing enough Legion soldiers. Killing Ceasar is not necessary to trigger them.

If you take Boone with you when you do it you'll gain a good amount of influence with him that can help you start his companion quest, if you haven't done it already. I think (?) it also gives you an additional option for talking Chief Hanlon down during the Return to Sender quest.

Howdy pardners,
pcdeltalink is, of course, quite right. Making any faction unhappy with you will have effects.

Me, I say why waste the time developing bad reputation when you can just "whack da boss..." LMAO...!!! :steamhappy:

Some NPCs, Boone, Ulysses, Graham, some others have additional dialogue related to Caesar's death. The legion still goes on, but with Lanius as the leader.
