Report a translation problem
The easiest way to not have this problem is to just not pick them up in the first place. This works out best if the reason you were picking them up was to sell them, in which case the argument to leave them is the one of "weight to cost ratio".
Caesar's Legion make for an easy example with Legion recruit armor vs the Machete is perfect for this.
The armor has weight of '12' and a (max) sell price of '200'.
The Machete has a weight of '2' and a (max) sell price of '50'.
Bigger is not always better when trying to make the most caps in trade.
I do pay attention on weight/price ratio. Nevertheless it's a bit pity when Cass has the load eg 30/200 and unable to grab couple of Legion armors.
Never had similar issue in Fallout 4 :)
