All Skills at 100!?
So, I may not quite understand how skills work in this game. I have all DLC installed, increasing level cap to 50, making it possible to easily max every skill out to 100. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like this kind of degrades any role-playing, since you'd be insanely powerful in every skills right?I do understand that some gear can decrease skills some.

Yes, it's quite natural to get a maxed out character in roleplaying games once you've done everything, hit the level cap, and got all the best gear.

No, you're not gonna have 100 in everything unless you run 10 INT from the start, and get every single skillbook.

OK, but according to what I've read, even with a fairly low INT, maxing out every skills is fairly easy. Would you mind explaining how I won't have 100 in everything? I should've added that I'm lv 8 and just finished finding Benny.

you just won't have enough skill points to put into everything to get them to max it's as simple as that

Perks is what really changes a character and you can't get even close to all of them.

Also there's a trait called Logan's loophole that caps you at 30 specifically for people who think 50 makes you too op

But, from what I've read, all the DLC gives you more than enough skill points to do this.

Yes, you can easily get all skill points to 100.
By the time you do you're at the end game, you've made all possible important decisions and explored most locations. There's not much left for your maxed out character to do. 90% of the game is building your character up to this point by doing content with your sub-optimal skills.
Perks are what differentiate your character by the end game anyways, and roleplaying is more than just how your character kills stuff. Don't worry about it.

Okay, I guess that makes more sense.

What? You can max out all skills at 100 with just 3 intelligence (including skill books usage) 10 intelligence is such a waste lmao.

Yeah I've still got 2 DLC to go and most of my skills are in the 80-100 range. It's not really a big deal, you don't become mad OP unless you know exactly what gear to find.

being OP isn't very difficult.

with the compliance regulator from honest hearts all enemies face a 12 second paralyze from a laser pistol critical hit.

ALL enemies, all bosses, everything. on the floor helpless for 12 seconds. thing fires 3 shots a second, and is a laser pistol which can get upwards of 60% critical chance easily enough.

you should watch mittensquad if you want to know how to limit yourself and enjoy the game.

Try playing the game with DLCs. I run out of skill points to use at level 43-44 on most runs.

Getting up to 100 in all skills is interesting, especially if you do it early enough in game, as it unlocks way more speech challenge options/skill checks.

generally there are a few unused skills that take a while to get up, like I don't put points into melee or unarmed. possibly explosive. those come later. and take a good 10 levels to max out after I'm otherwise finished.

and yeah I do cap out in the low 40s usually. with 4 or so INT and Educated.

Yeah, I heard about some armor can play a huge part in this. Though my armor CON is fairly low.

It took me forever to figure out how to do it in fallout 3 I’m not sure I want to put in this effort again.
