[SPOILERS] Arizona Killer quest help needed.
So I made a Legion courier for lols. She's a melee/unarmed character and dumb as a post, so I don't have a lot of points in skills other than those (and speech, since I wanted the Terrifying Presence perk).

Anyway, I've reached a point where I think I might be stuck. I am level 13 and have completed parts 1-5 of Render Unto Caesar. I've met with Cato, dressed as NCR, and plotted Kimball's assassination... but I can't fast-travel and the required skills for the assassination are all stuff I don't have (explosives, science, guns, etc.).

Is there a viable strategy for a melee/unarmed playthrough that doesn't involve killing Kimball at close range (a.k.a getting stomped by a bunch of NCR elites with guns)?

Thanks!

If you don't have science and repair either, you can climb up on that guard tower where the NCR guard would actually be killed if you were doing arizona killer on any other faction.
You have to silently kill the guard, then you can just shoot kimball in the face with the guard's sniper rifle.

Got any magazines?

Got a stealthboy? How about a rocket launcher?

That's the page I used, still no viable strategy for a melee/unarmed playthrough.

Since this is a melee character, she doesn't use guns at all. All the magazines in the world wouldn't have helped me, since they don't stack and I don't have the required stats to benefit from using them.

I ended up reverting to an old save. Lost 2 levels, but spilled a bunch of points into explosives and went the C4-in-helmet route. Still sucks that there wasn't a viable melee/unarmed strategy though.

Even without points in weapon types you can still use them to good effect. You could snipe Oliver even if you weren’t good with guns, as long as the gun is in good repair (and you’ve taken consumables like steady and the guns magazine).
Also why couldn’t you have just used a stealthboy, went onto the stage and sneak killed him?
