New California continue on to New Vegas
Anyone know how to get your character to carry over to the start of New Vegas? After beating the mod and watching the end credits I just get brought back to the main menu

You can't yet.

After another update or two there will be a place at the end of NC that takes you to the start of FNV.

You could try to teleport yourself to the Mojave with console commands just before the end of the game but I'm not sure if this will have some negative consequences to it.

Does anyone have an official comment on this from the devs or is there an ETA or FAQ somewhere you could link me to?

This is what the dev said from the ModDB page so hes going to make the bridge hopefully by december of this year.
