There's a rubicon of sorts with every faction option. Past a certain point in their quest progression you're pretty much locked in.
There is no way to gain access to Lanius' camp until the very very very end of the game. Even if you go with the Caesar route, you don't arrive at Lanius' camp until you get that "this is going to end the game" popup, at which point you cannot relapse to Yes Man.
I haven't done a legion ending yet, and the character that's working on one just arrived in Novac.
You can, but by the time you meet lanius, you're past the point of no return. There is no killing the legion and being classified as a terrorist by then.
It's a lot of fun, esp. if you've built a character that can exploit a TRE.
Also, be sure to go no-gun for the Legion route. Both unarmed and melee are good fun.
