Boone Beret Bug

I just got Boone as a follower and when I told him to relax, he stripped naked and his inventory disappeared. I reloaded the save, but while his gun and grunt outfit came back, his Beret had disappeared. I tried giving it back to him using console commands, which said that the script did not exist. Then I disabled and enabled him, which should have given me back his base inventory, but his beret was still missing. Boone also had something on him called outfitswitch (worth almost 100000 caps) which looked like a merc outfit, but made his head disappear when equipped.

Any ideas on how to fix this bug? I am running a lot of mods, but the only ones that directly effect Boone are the Complete Character Overhaul and JIP Companion Command system. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

Take all items from him before you use this command on him...

Thanks for the tip, but unfortunately this didn't work either. It is like it doesn't exist in game anymore. I checked my mods, and I have a couple more companion control mods I forgot to mention. After experimenting with Boone a bit more, I found that he lost his entire inventory whenever I told him to relax through his companion menu or talked to him about what to wear when relaxing

Sounds like a mod issue because "relax" and costume suggestions aren't vanilla commands. Best to ask the mod author.
