Powder Gangers: Which Endgame side to take?
I want to fully complete Fallout New Vegas (for once), and I'm curious about siding with the Powder Gangers. Logically, who would they be best suited for as far as the four choices to control New Vegas? I figured NCR was a no (obviously), and the Legion kills several Powder Gangers, and I'm not sure Mr. House would be fond of them causing trouble in his wasteland, so I figure the only logical choice would be Yes Man? I mean with the Yes Man storyline you're pretty much trying to be cool with most minor factions, right? What do you think?

Gangers don't get in House's way. He won't interfere with them.
Dunno why you'd pick a side just to benefit the Powder gangers. They are a small, weak faction that doesn't have much going for them.

You do get some choices what to do with the ones that left to go to Vault... 19 (I think) following Cooke. The ones in the actual prison you either ally with or eliminate apart from most factions (although eliminating them helps with NCR).

If you mean apart from mechanics, the Legion would probably prefer you leave the powder gangers intact, so that the gangers will harrass NCR trade routes and split NCR forces. The legion would just absorb or obliterate them after taking over. You're right that the NCR would want them wiped out. House wouldn't be likely to care much, since the gangers aren't any kind of threat to Vegas proper or him (his only real concerns). House doesn't want to become the guardian of the Mojave or anything of the kind, he just wants to secure his city. That's what the treaty with the NCR is for, let them handle violent vagrants in the middle of nowhere.

No, that's not necessarily it, I was just wanting to side with them for once since I always side with Goodsprings. Wanted a new experience.

I guess that makes sense. House doesn't hate or like them, he just doesn't care. But I'm fairly certain the Legion wants them dead. They're not very lenient when it comes to making them angry it seems. But back to House, I read when the game ends, House just sends Victor back to guard Goodsprings. Seems he cares just a little bit. I suppose the Courier being a jerk (which he can be) would side with the PG to make a quick buck, especially if he's the kind of guy to go with Yes Man. Putting an unqualified person, himself, in charge of the most powerful force in the wasteland.

Given that Victor had been at Goodsprings for some time even before the events of the game I can't help but wonder if there's something about the town that House has some kind of sentiment about. There doesn't seem to be anything valuable there to defend, so it's a bit of a mystery to me. The Yes Man ending is the freeform ending, so feel free to imagine it however you like.

Judy said that it was believed that the owner of Victor used to live in Goodsprings. I believe that owner was Mr. House himself. He left Victor to watch over Goodsprings.

Once you came into the picture, Victor was assigned by Mr. House to watch over you. That's why Victor is more than willing to join you in the fight against the Powder Gangers.

Well ultimately house does want to revive humanity as a whole.. He says within 100 years he'll have colonies in space, and this is coming from the pre war genius who predicted the great war and was off by mere hours from when bombs dropped, kept Vegas in tact, held back the ncr and legion through political tactics and created robco when he was a teenager and a pre war billionaire by the time he was 22. As well as found a way to live forever.

So ultimately he would want to rid the powder gangers once his empire starts to expand. Same reason he needs to get rid of the brotherhood who harass traders and travellers in the wasteland if they survive.
