also if you took three seconds to walk around a legion camp you would see some smoking cigarettes and if you looked through some of their stuff you can find chems and stuff like that

The legion seems to only support drugs that help their soldiers.

I was never concerned one bit about what the legion does and does not support, honestly. The one thing I truly dislike about the legion, even beyond their use of slavery, is the fact that they soak up all my ammo. I'm trying to find out if there's any status worse than "vilified" and it's costing me a mint. I should get a power fist or super sledge for this.
On a positive note, they bleed quite well.
