Gauss rifle.

Where can i get a Gauss rifle and a bunch of energy weapon ammo? I wiped out the van graffs during a quest and neither the gun runners or the BoS quartermaster sells anything.

There is a unique one called the YCS/186 carried by some no name mercs northeast of Westside and slightly east of Brooks Tumbleweed Farm. They are along a rock wall on the edge of the map.

Note that this replaced with a different weapon with Wild Wasteland on.

That's the problem, i have wild wasteland. So where can i find a normal one without killing BoS members?

You can buy one from the Silver Rush or the Brotherhood bunker, or you can just kill a Brotherhood guy for his. The Silver Rush inventory is leveled, the BoS isn’t.
Father Elijah carries one at the end of Dead Money, and the Y-17 Trauma Harnesses carry them in Old Workd Blues at a high enough level.

BOS has it for sale but you have to become a palidin by either finding the filters to replace the ventilation system or by replacing the leader and killing the Van Graffs.

They dont for me, i've even waited a few days and nothing.

Eh just decided to cheat the unique gauss rifle after getting rid of the aliens, kinda stupid they remove that gun for a gun that has very limited ammo.

What have you done for the Brotherhood so far? In my game I had to find the logs, the scouts and then find the filters in the vaults. After that the quartermaster should have the Gauss unless your game is bugged or a mod screwed it up.

I'm liked by the BoS and i got no mod that alters the quartermasters inventory. So its probably bugged.

Well you could always swap out wild wasteland trait in old world blues. Bos should randomly sell gauss stuff, but it's random chance they have it stocked after you become a full member.

But if you do dead money, you get the holo rifle and elijah carries a Gauss rifle when you kill him at the end.

if you want energy weapon ammo, you can get quite a bit off fiends, they carry laser rifles, plasma rifles and RCW. you can convert energy weapon ammo at a workbench.

in Old world blues if you take a variety of appliances to the toaster (basically Cameras, and Toasters and apparently hot plates and irons for energy weapon ammo)

usually I just bring him cameras because of the weight. I get tons of energy weapon ammo in old world blues. you can also take some empty energy cells and some fission batteries to get 25 small energy cells which you can convert into other types of ammo.

If your willing to get ambitious.
Some of the BoS members in the bunker carry them, if you can get one alone, shoot them to make them draw and cripple their arm to force them to drop it you can pick it up and lower your weapon to yield before you get killed. It'll probably take a few tries, but it can be done as early as level 1.
