Star Bottle Caps Missing

I have collected a number of the Star caps in my save. I got a heavy amount from the factory and from drinking sunset sarsaparilla, but when I went to see how many I had there wasn't even an icon in my Misc. tab for them. I read somewhere the deputy badge had something to do with it, but I only picked one up and dropped it once I saw it was worthless. I remember having the caps after that too. Its been quite a long time since I went to the factory. Are there any mods or console codes to fix this?

There's a mod on the Nexus that places a box with enough Star bottle caps in front of the factory, saw it a while ago.

yeah there is a glitch re: star bottlecaps, and they'll disappear from your inventory a number of ways.

player.additem 00103b1c 100

but if you use the mod you will be able to get the achievement i believe.
