Companion resurrection problem
Whenever I try to resurrect Cass,
the only dialouge I get is
"<Storage Node for high level topics::do not translate>"
I use a mod that allow super stim packs to resurrect someone and I really dislike reloading saves unless there is some bug.

Is there a workaround this? Thanks

It should be possible to get her talking normally again.
set "b16d0".bCassHired to 1 set "b16d0".bCassDead to 0 (reset Heartache by the Number) resetquest 15da16

You'll need to set the stage for Heartache by the Number back to what it was.
I don't know how far into her quest you were, but after hiring her it should be 10.
If you've been tasked with killing Alice and Gloria it will be 40.
If you're gathering evidence it will be 50.
If you've completed the quest it will be 100
setstage 15da16 10

You'd also need to display or hide some objectives for the following quests if they were running at the time of her death.
Birds of a Feather and You Can Depend On Me.
I can get the codes for those quests and objectives if you need them.

Oh wow, this is very nice information. Thanks a lot, I will try this.

Edit: That "set "b16d0".casshired to 1" command dosen't work for me. Any ideas? AM I supposed to do when she is alive? Well that dosen't work for me either. I get "missing variables etc etc" error.

You will have to click om her dead body while the console is up. Then use the ressurect command.

While I don't know if this applies to Cass in particular, it is worth noting that, to my knowledge, there is no way to reset how many times a given NPC has died. Some scripts rely on "GetDeadCount" conditions, so not being able to reset the death counter means that condition will always return true.

It's always better to load an old save instead of trying to go back with console commands. Even trying to fix it through modding can be a huge waste of time for a small reward.

Typo, missed the b.

Well, as I pointed out, I do not load saves unless there is some bug or if the AI does some really dumb like running into a fight when I'd rather flee etc.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ it actually just worked. Thanks a lot dude. I'll stick your comment so others hopefully finds this.

Edit: Albeit trivial in comparison to this sweet fix, the compaion dialouge wheel doesn't appear for her. Trivial but if it could be fixed that would be swell.

Edit 2 FIX: Yeah just dismiss her and then get her back and all is fixed.

I have been having some similar difficulties with Arcade. The bArcadeDead to 0 command worked fine, but bArcadeHired to 1 is coming up as an unknown variable. I've no idea why this is.

It's ArcadeHired there's no b for Arcade.

This is a known bug in the game, and unfortunately, there isn't a straightforward solution for it. However, there are some steps you can try to potentially resolve the issue. First, try reloading a previous save to see if that helps. If that doesn't work, you can also try dismissing and then re-hiring the affected companions to see if that resets their status. Additionally, ensuring that your game is fully updated and patched may also help to mitigate the issue. I hope these suggestions are helpful, and I understand how frustrating this bug can be.

Oh, weird. I'll give that a shot.

Stop using AI to write your comments. It's pointless and wastes other peoples time. If i wanted to read the opinion of an AI i would go to Chat GPT's website.
