Having trouble with the Oh My Papa quest

So I'm trying to get the Great Khans to join the NCR, I was given this quest at the Hoover Dam. However, to proceed with the quest, I have to talk to Papa about his alliance with Caesar's Legion. I already did this while going through the Yes Man quest that I ended up not carrying out. Now I cannot access this option to speak to him about his allegiance due to Papa already saying he will talk about it no more. I cannot talk to his right-hand man outside of the longhouse about convincing papa as I have exhausted all speech option.

I really don't want to have to reload a prior save as the save in which I talked to Papa about his allegiance as that save was hours ago and I don't want to lose all my progress. Is there any way around this?

Sneak into the Legion representatives room and steal his notes. Show those notes to Papa. Should open up new dialog.

According to the Wiki, the only way to ally the Great Khans with the NCR is to assassinate Papa Khan, at which point Regis will take over as the leader.

Actually according to the link, there is also a diplomatic solution to allying the Khans and NCR.

However this whole quest is buggy, sometimes fast travelling away and then back can fix such problems as Regis refusing to talk to you. There is a Reset Quest command given in the Bugs section of the link, that you could try to fix the Regis problem.

Thanks, thought of using the console but I didn't know if it could do that. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
