Combat Armor not as good as Vault 34 Armor, but is worth more?
A fully (as close as possible) Combat Armor is worth $6495. It has a DT of 15 and WG 25 lbs.

A fully (as close as possible) Vault 34 Security Armor is worth $70. It has a DT of 16 and EG of 15 lbs.

So why then does an almost half the weight armor, which counts as light for perk purposes of quicker movement, one would assume a very rare item as only so many were Vault 34s and even has a slightly better DT, is only worth a measely $70.

While the Combat Armor, not that I am finding it every where at the present moment, one would assume is more frequent in the outside world, is twice as heavy as it's counter part and is worth about a hefty sum of $6,500!?

Why is that? And the Combat Armor does not give the wearer any special abilities like +2 anything. It makes no sense.

The drawback is that it only has 100 hp vs a combat armour at 400, and can only be repaired with other combat armour. So in the end costs you more to wear as it wears down rapidly, unless you got the jury rigging perk to maintain it

Armour in New Vegas is balanced awfully.

To make repairing it without Jury Rigging easier probably.

The low item HP. A deathclawh can take 70% of vault 16 armor's HP in one strike, then you're stuck with almost broken garbage armor. Combat armor lasts a lot longer, but combat armor is also a rather bad piece of gear. Get any of the riot gear variants if you want good medium armor., or combat armor mk II.
