NVSE: nexus or standalone?
I just found this: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58277

is it better than the standalone that doesn't require nexus? Can I use this along with other mods that have bug fixes compilations?

Ninja'd. As Rawulhidee says, NVSE is a prerequisite for JIP. For Bethesda's script extenders the best practice is always to get them directly from silverlock.org.
