Bug w/ Rum and Nuka?

Has anyone ever acquired more than one bottle of "Rum and Nuka" from the Garrets? On the wiki, it says you can buy it there (after receiving the complimentary one from gambling?) but after 31 playthroughs on PC and Xbox, I've never seen it for sale once. Interested to see if anyone has ever had this item show up in the Atomic Wrangler inventory, or how they went about getting it to spawn.. Thanks!

you can buy it from the atomic wrangler once you help bill get over his alcohol addiction (or that other guy forgot his name,.....the white haired bearded bald guy).

After one of the owners that sells the beers tells you that thanks to you helping him get clean they can make more drinks (they'll add absentine and nuka and rum to the list of ♥♥♥♥ you can buy).

Even after completing High Times (by helping Jacob and Bill sober up) I never actually recieve a prompt saying this. I get regards from Julie and Mick, saying that the two are doing better and that the absinthe at The Wrangler is "Great stuff!"; but neither absinthe or rum and nuka ever show up in the Garret's loot table.

huh that's wierd it sometimes does for me.
maybe you gotta be a higher lvl? sometimes it affects what vendors sell.

I think the issue has got to be with the quest trigger... I like to complete Debt Collector, High Times, Wang Dang, and "Long-Term Care" (the unmarked supply line quest) all at the same time so I can move on to Vegas.. perhaps the quests overlap each other and prevent the Garret's special dialogue from even showing up! Dying to hear anyone else's experience with this bug...

I think the Wiki says it's only available for sale from the Wrangler before completing the High Times quest. Never bothered to try it.

Seems like one of those things the devs put in before someone second-guessed it, then they failed to remove all instances of it from the game.

And really, where the hell are they getting rum?

it's a nice way to get a cap back from drinking the damn thing lol.

You win one when gambling towards the bank limit too. Since the wrangler doesn't have a guy to run up and tell you you're on a streak it's easy to miss when you get things.
