Question about installation of Fallout - New California?

ok I am a noob at vortex, how do I install Fallout - New California the download file has two files a exe and a FalloutNewCaliforniaBETA221FullInstaller.nsisbin idk what a nsisbin is, must I run the exe manually? his installation much info is left out, and I did try using vortex to install the exe but instead of saying corrupted it said the file is damaged, so where do I install the exe at meaning install location fallout new vegas directory or fallout new vegas/data?

just run the exe and it will install New Callifornia in your data directory. It will also patch your fallloutNV.exe to ensure the game doesn't crash every 2 minutes. (the exe patch is also availabe as a standalone on the nexus, and is pretty much mandatory for larger mod lists).

Edit: it doesn't matter where the exe is located, you can even delete it after you are done.

the installer is asking me where to install the destination folder I am guessing that don't matter where i install it? ok then thanks.

the destination folder is your data directory in the FalloutNV folder, if you don't pick that then you must move the content of your chosen folder (hope you use an empty one) and move it to the data folder.

so it's C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data np thanks
