On top of the exe patcher, you should use the nvse memory patch https://wiki.step-project.com/User:EssArrBee/FalloutNewVegas#Extenders follow the instructions under NVSE, but skip the line scrapheapsizeMB=128 inside of the created ini, it's redundant.
To get rid of the microstutter, use https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66537 windows 10 compatible from the get-go unlike stutter remover which needs some tweaking to get working with windows 10.
If you're still getting crashes after these mods, your best bet is using enboost which is just the benefits of enb memory fixes but without the visual effects. Hope this helps.
Its that minimal its not even bugging me
A) removed the corrisponding dx dll file completely,
B) renamed the dx file.. so d3d9, d3d8, dxgi etc..
C) replaced it with a later dll file.
but i literally cant remember.. nsve and jip was also causing the issues.. use later versions not the ones that came with the installation.
Have you tried running an ENB or ENBoost? If it's a memory crash, good chance you can fix it that way.
TTW should be as stable - if not more stable - than vanilla NV.
Fair.
If you ever decide to come back, definitely ask earlier in the process so you don't get as frustrated :D
Don't want to argue with you, but I don't see anything recent aside from this thread on Google, and in the Steam forums all I see are a couple of posts in other threads including this one - an almost 2-year-old thread. Looking at your post history on Steam, this is literally the first time you are asking for help.
You have to start your own thread asking for specific help if you want help.
And yes, I see multiple people with the same issue - 2-6 years ago. This indicates that you have a very unique crash, or a crash solved by a very common solution since it seems to have been ironed out for most people with TTW 3.
I get you are frustrated and totally agree with your decision to give up on it, but the frustration seems to be largely of your own design.
Random thought: The install time of TTW seems to vary wildly depending on your brand of CPU.
Could the crashes be as simple as
AMD - crash
Intel - No crash?
Weird. Looking back at old threads, it occurs in the base game (FO3) too.
Must be something well broken. Still weird how infrequent it is.
Really? Huh. Must be something TTW couldn't fix, even with the great omnipotent Roy Batty.
