Head to the round dome-thing stcking out of the floor on the left that's directly opposite the shielded door. Hide beside it directly opposite the barrier Elijah will walk through on.
As soon as Elijah is just passign the turrets THEN make a beeline towards the barrier which should still be down.
Sitting next to the door, even with 100% stealth will never work. NPCs can see in a 180 degree arc which INCLUDES a little bit behind them to each side.
Also before confronting Elijah you have to activate security and kill all the turrets.
And when you book it through the door way that gets the shield, you have to wait until Elijah moves his hand out to activate the terminal before you "run" through it ( by run I mean walk as fast as you can cus you're over encumbered
You need to stay out of sight, and move as little as possible, until he gets to the terminal.
ONLY if you are going for the violent solution and not attempting to lock him in there which negates the need to sneak, Really.
Maybe it's the jsawer mod because if I don't destroy the turrets, Elijah won't walk through the door and will wait forever until I get spotted or walk to close to the door
Like I said, You need to hide behind the LEFT dome in front of the vault door, Not the right one. (With the vault door behind you) The right one it will say [HIDDEN] but you really aren't.
IF you hide by the dome closest to the barrier he comes through he'll ALWAYS go aggro the moment he crosses the vault threshold. He doesn't seem to glitch that way on the left one.
I've never had him aggro me when I was behind the right generator. Just that he won't come through unless I destroy the turrets first or let myself get spotted (thus not being able to escape the short way with the Gold)
But the way I do it behind the right generator, always results in the way where you trap him in the vault, unless I put c4 or something by the computer and blow him up after I get through the door . I just make sure to kill the turrets before I talk to Elijah on the computer
TGM doesn't help you sneak.
I was thinking we take a corpse and cut it in half, leave one half near the exit and one half we drag into the vault. load the corpse up and unload it after we leave. unfortunately the only corpse we could fill up is Elijah's since the corpse down below is just a skeleton and locked to the pipe
now I suppose we could try to get a ghost person to chase you thru the various doors and get its corpse down there for this trick.
but beating dead money I have high luck and I clear out the casino of its chips. which can turn into pre war money, so each chip is worth around 8 caps. and weighs nothing.
so I'm hiking out of there with 30,000 pre war money, maybe 240,000 worth in caps.
I'm getting 8 bars or whatever and leaving the rest. I don't actually need them for anything.
Its about letting go.
using chips for weapon repair kits on Automatic rifles as I go thru the DLC and selling them to vendors for pre war money.
you should be rich, leave the bars, they are pointless.
After I exited the bunker and get my weapons back I noticed that something was wrong. All, but I really mean ALL my unique weapons have disappeared! The Esther, the minigun from 'the devil's throat', the energy weapon from 'crashed vertibird' and even my grenade launcher from the cave where the Legendary Deathclaw is located. Some of them were even equiped at Ed-E. All gone, nowhere to be found.
:(
Indeed, I was planning on saying the same thing... Although probably with a sarcastic joke tagged in.
The real treasure is the Sierra Madre Complementary Voucher you get every few days for bankrupting the Sierra Madre Casino. With those chips, you can have all the food, stimpacks and Med-X you could possible want.
... I mean, that is not exactly letting go either. But I tend to take at least one bar as a souveneir regardless, so I am probably not the best example of material sacrifice. Heh
