Will Caesar's Legion Send a Hit Squad with Wild Child Reputation?

Hey there folks.

I have played Fallout New Vegas for many years now, on multiple different systems. One of the grand ideas I had for enjoying the game was to basically befriend everyone. However, for exploration purposes, I would like to attack both the Caesar's Legion and New California Republic at the end of Lonesome Road.

In all the time before that point, I will not have gone on to the New Vegas Strip so as to get Immunity from both organizations and a complete Reputation reset (Which will likely put me back at Idolized at such a point).

My question is, will the Caesar's Legion (And the New California Republic for that matter) send hit squads after me if I have the perfect neutral Reputation of "Wild Child"? I ask because spawning in those squads might have unforeseen side effects and it has been a very long time since I tried annoying either of those two Major Factions.

As a final note, I am aware that completing certain parts of the Main Quests for other Factions will cause Caesar's Legion to become indefinitely hostile. That, and the hope for a full reinstatement of previous Reputation, is primarily why I avoid going to the New Vegas Strip until late game.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. It is my hope to avoid having anyone caught in the crossfire of a particularly aggressive Caesar's Legion Hit Squad.

I dunno, my last play i was Vilified by NCR and Legion and no Hit Squad tried to kill me.

hit squads show up for me when I blow lanius brains out in nipton for suggesting he could have me lashed to a cross. Faced down tons of hit squads after that.

I think you need to have an actually negative reputation with them to start seding hit squads.

Based on the wiki, it appears that it's a matter of timing. Nuking either faction will tank your reputation with them, but only until you talk to the rep for that side after meeting Benny, and they won't be coming after you. Until you do that, you'll get hit squads running up to you, but then turning right around and running away

From years of experience. No. When your rep is Wild Child with them; They don't send hit squads after you (If you were enemies with them before then they will but if you went from good rep to wild child, you will be fine)

Thank you for all the input folks. It looks like I should be able to destroy both of those routes into New Vegas without either side sending squads after me. It should be interesting to check out both sites before heading back into the Mojave proper
